My name is Ratnakar
I am 45 yrs old, and working as an IT professional in Hyderabad. To put it very simply, I write code for a living, and keep writing whenever I have time on my hands.
My interests are movies, music, reading, history, & tech. History is one of my passions, and that automatically gets me interested in heritage and culture too. While I like reading on World History, of late my concentration is more on Indian History, rediscovering aspects, that have not been taught about in our schools. I have been studying on Far Eastern history and culture too of late ( China, Japan, Korea), and finding a lot in common with India. My main aim is to get people of India to know of their heritage and culture, their history, through social media and my blogs.
People can follow me on Twitter at ScorpiusMaximus. I blog at the following sites:
Mirror to India– http://mirrortoindia.wordpress.com – General blog, that focuses on Indian history, culture, economy, politics, literature.
Rebuild Andhra– http://rebuildandhra.wordpress.com– As the name indicates a focus on rebuilding of Andhra Pradesh, post bifurcation.
Inglorious Kweezerds– http://maximusindicusquiz.wordpress.com/ – A Quizzing blog.
I also blog on Tech, Movies, but of late not been too active there.
Anyway Rebuild Andhra is what I had started as an initiative to get like minded people to write and discuss on the road ahead for Andhra Pradesh, post bifurcation. After the bifurcation, I had noticed a lot of anger, pain and hurt in Telugu people, a feeling of being betrayed. But at the same time, there was also this desire to do something, to participate in the rebuilding of Andhra Pradesh. I felt there needed to be a platform for people to come and share their views, which is where I started this blog.
While I own the blog, there are contributors who come to RA and post their views. I strongly believe that if India is to move ahead, we need that community bonding, it is only by sharing our ideas, and coming on a common platform, we can progress. So my focus is more on getting others to contribute, sharing their posts, while I focus more or less on the administrative and promotion part, while contributing now and then.
Sadasyula is my surname, and it also means “members of a community” which is what I see myself as, we are all members of a team, and every one of us has a part to play.
